The Samsung Galaxy XCover7 is a rugged work phone with two features almost extinct on modern handsets: a removable battery and a dedicated microSD slot. It is built for field, warehouse and fleet use, and it keeps a headphone jack, so its spec sheet makes sense read as a tool rather than a consumer phone.

XCover7: Display

The 6.6-inch PLS LCD carries a 1080 x 2408 resolution under Gorilla Glass Victus+, sharp enough for job records and forms.

It is a basic LCD rated at 600 nits with no high refresh rate listed, so it serves durability and legibility rather than media quality, and it is dimmer than the panel on the pricier XCover7 Pro.

XCover7: Camera

The single 50MP main camera with PDAF handles documentation and scanning, with a 5MP selfie camera for video calls.

Rear video tops out at 1080p at 30fps, and there is no ultrawide, so this is a work camera rather than a photographic one.

XCover7: Battery

The 4,050mAh battery is removable, so field teams can carry a charged spare and hot-swap rather than wait on the 15W charging, and pogo-pin connectors support charging cradles. The build allows the back to come off for the swap.

15W is slow by any modern standard, and there is no wireless charging, so the swappable-battery workflow is the intended approach for heavy shifts.

XCover7: Size, Weight and Build

At 169 x 80.1 x 10.2mm and 240g, the XCover7 carries IP68 sealing, certified drop resistance to 1.5m and MIL-STD-810H compliance, though that listing does not guarantee extreme-condition performance. It comes in Black only.

At 240g and 10.2mm it is one of the bulkiest phones on this site, the unavoidable cost of the rugged, serviceable design.

XCover7: Performance

The Dimensity 6100+ with up to 6GB of RAM covers everyday work apps and 5G, and the phone has received newer One UI updates since launch, useful for the enterprise buyers it targets.

This is entry-level silicon, so it will feel slow next to consumer phones at the price, but performance is not really the point of a rugged work tool.
