The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE is the most affordable entry into Samsung's current flagship S26 range, for buyers who want the Galaxy experience and long update support at a lower price. It brings two changes from the Galaxy S25 FE: a 3nm Exynos 2500 chipset in place of the 4nm Exynos 2400, and a slightly higher 193g weight.
The 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel runs at 120Hz and FHD+ (1080 x 2340) resolution, rated at 1900 nits in high brightness mode that should hold up well outdoors.
It is largely carried over from the Galaxy S25 FE, so upgraders gain little, and the FHD+ resolution stays below the QHD screens on higher-tier handsets.
The rear camera pairs a 50MP f/1.8 wide with OIS, a 12MP ultrawide and, unusually for this tier, an 8MP 3x optical telephoto with its own stabilisation.
The hardware is essentially unchanged from the S25 FE, so gains come from the new chipset's processing, and the 8MP telephoto is modest against premium zoom cameras.
A 4900mAh battery returned an active use score of 14 hours 49 minutes in GSMArena lab testing, enough for all-day use, with 45W wired and 15W Qi2 wireless charging.
Reaching the full 45W needs a 5A-rated USB-C cable, and even then it trails the faster wired charging on several rivals.
At 161.6 x 76.9 x 7.4mm and 193g, the S26 FE uses a Gorilla Glass Victus+ front and back over an aluminium frame, with IP68 rating and three colours: Blueberry, Graphite and Pistachio.
At 76.9mm wide it is neither compact nor light, so one-handed use is likely to be a stretch, and the colour choice is narrower than higher up the range.
Power comes from Samsung's own 3nm Exynos 2500, paired with an Xclipse 950 GPU and 8GB of RAM across all storage tiers, which should handle everyday multitasking and gaming.
The Exynos 2500 will not match the Snapdragon chips in Samsung's top models for outright speed, but the phone ships with Android 17 and One UI 9, with seven major OS upgrades promised from launch, among the longest active windows in its class.
The Galaxy S26 FE suits the buyer who wants Samsung's current software, a genuine 3x telephoto and a long update runway at the S26 range's lowest price, accepting FHD+ resolution and 45W charging in return. It is a clear step up from an older Galaxy S FE or mid-range Samsung, though S25 FE owners will find too little new to justify the move.
