Magic V6: Display
The 7.95-inch foldable LTPO2 AMOLED runs at 120Hz with a 2172 x 2352 resolution and high-frequency 4320Hz PWM dimming, and the 6.52-inch OLED cover screen shares the 120Hz refresh so the phone stays fully usable closed. GSMArena measured up to 1222 nits in testing, enough for comfortable outdoor use.
Honor quotes 5000 nits and 6000 nits peak figures for the two panels, but those apply only to small HDR highlights rather than full-screen brightness, and like any foldable the inner display keeps a plastic-topped folding layer with a central crease.
Magic V6: Camera
The rear camera is a genuine triple system: a 50MP f/1.6 wide with stabilisation, a 64MP periscope telephoto with 3x optical zoom and a 50MP ultrawide, recording 4K video at up to 60fps. The 64MP periscope is far higher resolution than the 10MP telephoto on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, so cropped and long-range shots should hold more detail.
The main sensor is a 1/1.56-inch 50MP unit rather than the larger, higher-count sensors on some bar-phone flagships, so it trades outright resolution for the folding design, and there is no dedicated macro camera beyond the ultrawide's autofocus.

The 6660mAh battery is large for a foldable, and in GSMArena's testing it returned an active use score of 15 hours 21 minutes, comfortably ahead of the 11 hours 44 minutes the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 managed. Charging is quick too, at 80W wired and 66W wireless.
One caveat for UK buyers: the 6660mAh figure applies to global units, while the phone ships with larger 6850mAh and 7150mAh batteries in China, so the version sold here has slightly less capacity than the headline Chinese specification.
Magic V6: Size, Weight and Build
Unfolded the Magic V6 is just 4.0mm to 4.1mm thick, folding to 8.8mm to 9.0mm, and it weighs 219g to 224g depending on finish, with an IP68/IP69 rating that resists dust, immersion and even high-pressure water jets. It comes in Gold, Red, White and Black.
At up to 224g it is still heavier than a typical bar phone, so long spells of one-handed use become tiring, and there is no microSD card slot, so the storage tier is fixed at purchase.
Magic V6: Performance
The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with Adreno 840 graphics and up to 16GB of RAM is among the fastest hardware available, and in GSMArena's benchmarks it posted an AnTuTu score above three million. Storage runs from 256GB to 1TB on UFS 4.1, and it ships on Android 16 with MagicOS 10 and up to seven major OS upgrades from launch, a support window that is still active.
MagicOS is a heavier reskin of Android than stock, with its own app defaults, pre-installed extras and layout that some buyers will want to spend time trimming back after setup.

The Honor Magic V6 suits a buyer who wants the most complete book-style foldable: a big screen, a proper periscope zoom, long battery life and rare IP68/IP69 durability in one device. Anyone tied to Samsung's ecosystem or its DeX desktop mode may prefer the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, while those who want the same folding format for less should weigh up the standard Galaxy Z Fold8.
