The Honor 600 Smart is an affordable 5G phone built almost entirely around battery life, aimed at buyers who want a handset that lasts for days between charges. Its headline feature is a very large 7700mAh battery, well beyond the 5000mAh cells in most rivals, paired with a big 6.87-inch screen.
Honor 600 Smart: Display
The 6.87-inch IPS LCD runs at 120Hz with up to 1020 nits peak brightness and a scratch-resistant Mohs level 5 finish, so scrolling and menus should feel smooth for an affordable phone.
The resolution is only 720 x 1592, around 254 pixels per inch, so text and images look noticeably softer than the 1080p Super AMOLED screen on the similarly priced Samsung Galaxy A27, and being an LCD rather than an OLED it shows weaker blacks and contrast.
Honor 600 Smart: Camera
There is a single 50MP rear camera with autofocus and a front camera for selfies, with video capped at 1080p. In good light the main sensor should be fine for everyday photos and social media.
With only one usable rear camera there is no ultrawide or zoom, and video tops out at 1080p at 30fps, where phones like the Galaxy A27 add an ultrawide and 4K recording.
Honor 600 Smart: Battery
The 7700mAh battery is far larger than the 5000mAh cells in most rivals, and the EU energy label rates it at 93 hours 22 minutes of endurance, so it should stretch to two or three days of ordinary use. Charging is quick for the class at 45W wired, and it can also reverse-charge accessories over a cable.
There is no wireless charging, and even at 45W a battery this large takes a while to refill from empty.
Honor 600 Smart: Size, Weight and Build
The Honor 600 Smart measures 168.3 x 78.5 x 8.3mm with a glass front, plastic frame and plastic back, and it adds an IP64 rating plus drop resistance tested to 2.5m, which is reassuring at this price. It comes in Meteor Silver and Black.
The IP64 rating covers dust and water splashes but not immersion, unlike IP68 phones, and the plastic back and frame are more functional than premium.
Honor 600 Smart: Performance
The Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 with Adreno 613 graphics, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage should cover calls, messaging, browsing and streaming, and it runs Android 16 with Honor's MagicOS 10 on top. It supports 5G, which not every phone at this level does.
4GB of RAM is tight, so heavy multitasking will see apps reload, the Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 is an entry-level chip that will struggle with demanding games, and the USB-C port runs at the slower 2.0 standard.
Honor 600 Smart: Who Should Buy
The Honor 600 Smart suits a buyer whose main priority is battery life: someone who wants a phone that lasts several days, keeps things simple and does not mind a lower-resolution screen or a single camera. Anyone who would rather have a sharper AMOLED screen, an ultrawide camera and longer software support for similar money should look at the Samsung Galaxy A27 instead.
