At 6520mAh it carries one of the larger batteries in the sub-£300 tier, and it pairs that with a 6.6-inch AMOLED panel rated to 2000 nits HBM, two distinctions that separate it from most rivals at this price.
The 6.6-inch AMOLED panel runs at 120Hz with a 1200x2600 resolution, sharper than the 1080p screens common at this price. The 2000 nits HBM rating should hold up well in bright outdoor use, with a 6500 nits peak figure quoted for HDR content only. The 3840Hz PWM dimming is worth flagging for buyers sensitive to screen flicker at low brightness.
The 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 6.6-inch size make this a slightly more compact display than the 6.7-inch screens used on most rivals at the price, including the Samsung Galaxy A26. The aluminosilicate glass front is rated to a lower scratch resistance than Gorilla Glass Victus+ used on the A26, so a case is likely worthwhile.

The Mediatek Dimensity 7100 Elite is built on a 6nm process with eight cores and a Mali-G610 MC2 GPU. It is positioned for everyday tasks and lighter gaming rather than demanding 3D titles. Storage is 256GB across both 8GB and 12GB RAM variants, with no microSD card slot, so buyers should pick the storage tier they need at purchase.
The phone ships with Android 16 and MagicOS 10, with up to six major Android upgrades promised. That commitment is currently active and matches what Samsung offers on the Galaxy A26, giving the handset a long software lifespan if Honor delivers on the schedule.
The Honor 600 Lite 5G suits buyers on older handsets who prioritise battery life, screen quality and faster charging over camera flexibility, and who can accept the 1080p video ceiling. Anyone who shoots 4K regularly or wants a smaller body should consider the Samsung Galaxy A26 instead.
