Razr 50 Ultra: Display

The 6.9-inch foldable LTPO AMOLED runs at 165Hz with a 1080 x 2640 resolution and Dolby Vision, and the 4-inch external LTPO AMOLED also runs at 165Hz, far more capable than the small 60Hz cover screen on Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip6. GSMArena measured 1,265 nits of maximum brightness, with the quoted peaks reserved for HDR.

The internal panel has a plastic front, softer than the cover glass, the standing care point of the flip format.

Razr 50 Ultra: Camera

The dual camera pairs a 50MP main sensor with OIS and a 50MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom, with a 32MP selfie camera; both rear cameras being 50MP is unusual for a flip phone.

The 2x zoom is short next to the periscopes on bar phones, and video tops out at 4K at 60fps.

The IPX8 rating covers water immersion but carries no certified dust protection, a step behind the sealing on conventional flagships.

Razr 50 Ultra: Performance

The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 with up to 12GB of RAM and UFS 4.0 storage handles everyday apps and gaming well, though it is a tier below the full Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in the Galaxy Z Flip6.

Motorola commits to just three major Android upgrades from Android 14, a shorter window than the newer Razr models and Samsung's flips.
