The Motorola Moto G37 is a budget 5G phone built around durability and battery life rather than headline specs, aimed at buyers who want a tough, long-lasting handset for everyday basics. It pairs Gorilla Glass 7i, an IP64 rating and MIL-STD-810H testing with a 5200mAh battery, though it settles for an HD+ screen and a single rear camera.

Moto G37: Display

The 6.67-inch IPS LCD runs at 120Hz with HDR10 support and up to 1050 nits peak brightness, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i rated to Mohs level 4, which should resist everyday scratches better than most phones at this price.

The resolution is only 720 x 1604, around 264 pixels per inch, so it looks noticeably softer than the 1080 x 2400 screen on the older Motorola Moto G35, and text and fine detail suffer as a result.

Moto G37: Camera

There is a single 50MP f/1.8 rear camera with autofocus and an 8MP front camera, with video up to 1440p. In good light the main sensor should cover everyday photos without trouble.

With only one rear camera there is no ultrawide or zoom option at all, where even the cheaper Moto G35 adds an 8MP ultrawide, so framing here is limited to the single main lens.

Moto G37: Battery

The 5200mAh battery is larger than the 5000mAh cell in the Moto G35 and, with a modest HD+ screen and an efficient 6nm chipset, should last well beyond a single day of light use; the EU energy label rates it at 48 hours 27 minutes of endurance. Charging is 20W wired, with 6W reverse wired to top up accessories.

20W is slow by current standards, so a full charge takes a while, and there is no wireless charging.

Moto G37: Size, Weight and Build

At 166.2 x 76.5 x 7.8mm and 191g the G37 is a manageable size for a 6.67-inch phone, and the build combines a glass front with a plastic or eco-leather back and a plastic frame, adding IP64 splash resistance and MIL-STD-810H testing. Motorola offers it in Pantone Nautical Blue, Impenetrable, Fuchsia Red and Pantone Capri.

The IP64 rating covers dust and water splashes but not immersion, unlike IP68 phones, and MIL-STD-810H testing does not guarantee ruggedness, so it still needs care around drops and deep water.

Moto G37: Performance

The phone uses a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 in global markets and a slightly newer Dimensity 6400 in India, paired with 4GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage plus a dedicated microSDXC slot for expansion. It should handle calls, messaging, browsing and streaming smoothly and ships on Android 16.

4GB of RAM is limited for heavy multitasking, so apps will reload in the background, and the UFS 2.2 storage with a USB-C 2.0 port makes both app loading and wired file transfers slower than on pricier phones.

Moto G37: Who Should Buy

The Moto G37 suits a budget buyer who values durability, 5G and long battery life over screen sharpness or camera versatility, and wants a headphone jack and expandable storage in the bargain. Anyone who would rather have a sharper 1080p screen and an ultrawide camera should look at the Motorola Moto G35 instead. Buyers comparing on contract length or upfront cost will find current network pricing in the table above.
