The Honor 200 Smart is the budget entry to Honor's 200 series, a 5G phone built around a big screen and a big battery at a low price. Despite the 200-series name, it shares little with the pricier models beyond branding, sitting firmly in entry-level territory.

200 Smart: Display

The 6.8-inch TFT LCD runs at 120Hz with a 1080 x 2412 resolution, so it is reasonably sharp and smooth for the money, with aluminosilicate glass on the front.

The quoted 850-nit peak is modest, so bright sunlight will be a challenge, and TFT LCD contrast trails the AMOLED panels on some rivals at this level.

200 Smart: Camera

The 50MP main camera with PDAF handles daylight shots acceptably, with a 5MP selfie camera on the front.

GSMArena lists the rear setup as dual with an auxiliary lens; the secondary lens specifications are not individually itemised in the GSMArena spec table and should be confirmed before purchase. Video tops out at 1080p at 30fps.

200 Smart: Battery

The 5,200mAh battery pairs with 35W wired charging, faster than most rivals at this price, which is a genuine plus.

There is no wireless charging, and GSMArena publishes no lab endurance score for this model, so runtime claims should be treated as estimates.

200 Smart: Size, Weight and Build

At 166.9 x 76.8 x 8.1mm and 191g or 193g depending on finish, the 200 Smart carries a basic IP64 splash rating in Midnight Black and Forest Green.

IP64 covers splashes only, not immersion, and there is no microSD slot to expand the fixed 256GB.

200 Smart: Performance

The Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 with up to 8GB of RAM covers everyday apps and 5G, though the 4GB entry model will feel tight, and there is no NFC, so contactless payments are off the table.

This is entry-level silicon, so heavier games will struggle, and the phone launched on Android 14 with MagicOS 8 and a limited update path.

200 Smart: Who Should Buy

Buy the Honor 200 Smart if you want a big screen, a big battery and fast charging at a low 5G price, and contactless payments do not matter to you. Buyers who want NFC and a longer software window for similar money should compare the Galaxy A16 5G, which adds an AMOLED screen and six years of updates.
