The Apple iPhone 15 Pro is Apple's compact 2023 flagship, now a strong value buy since the iPhone 16 and 17 Pro arrived. It was the first iPhone with a titanium frame, an Action button and the A17 Pro chip, and it adds the 120Hz screen and telephoto camera the standard models lack.

iPhone 15 Pro: Display

The 6.1-inch LTPO Super Retina XDR OLED runs at 120Hz with a 1179 x 2556 resolution and quotes 2000 nits in high-brightness mode, with GSMArena measuring 1,786 nits in its lab test, protected by Ceramic Shield.

The 120Hz ProMotion display is a clear step up from the 60Hz standard models, making scrolling and animation noticeably smoother, with little to fault here.

iPhone 15 Pro: Camera

The triple camera pairs a 48MP main sensor with sensor-shift OIS, a 12MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom and OIS, and a 12MP ultrawide, plus a LiDAR scanner, with a 12MP selfie camera. The dedicated telephoto adds reach the standard models cannot match.

Video is comprehensive, up to 4K at 60fps with ProRes and 10-bit HDR, a genuine advantage for creators.

iPhone 15 Pro: Battery

The 3,274mAh battery returned an active use score of 12:58 hours in GSMArena's lab, solid for a compact flagship, with wired charging at 50% in 30 minutes plus 15W MagSafe wireless.

Wired charging is slow next to fast-charging Android rivals, so charging speed is the weak point.

iPhone 15 Pro: Size, Weight and Build

At 146.6 x 70.6 x 8.3mm and 187g with a grade 5 titanium frame, IP68 sealing and USB-C 3.2 for faster transfers, the iPhone 15 Pro is a compact, premium phone in titanium finishes. The customisable Action button replaces the mute switch.

There is no microSD slot or headphone jack, the usual flagship trade-offs.

iPhone 15 Pro: Performance

The A17 Pro with 8GB of RAM is console-class silicon that handles the most demanding games and pro apps, launched on iOS 17 and since updated, with years of iOS support still ahead.

Some early units ran warm under sustained load, later eased by software updates, but performance is not in question.

Buy the iPhone 15 Pro at a discount if you want a compact flagship with a 120Hz screen, a telephoto camera and a titanium build without paying current-model money.
